What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith.

Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.

This fall, New Life Assembly is excited to host an Alpha Program starting the first week of November. In preparation for this exciting multi-week exploration, we are building a team of leaders who are excited to either create conversation in small groups, set-up/tear-down behind the scenes, or be prayer-powerhouses believing that God will work in the hearts of all who attend. This is an amazing, life-changing program, but ultimately it is just that; a program. Without God's Spirit at work this will fail. Please pray with us as we work towards this exciting adventure this fall and consider inviting people! The Alpha program is a great tool of growth for christians, but it is also a phenomenal tool for discipleship. Friends and family who remain on the fence are encouraged to come on out and voice their questions and doubts! Let's explore the truth of Christ together.
